I had a 'Berry Blast' last weekend at the Mall. It was great. It supposedly had strawberries and blueberries concocted into a Slurpie like drink. Does anyone have anything they could tell me how to make a tasty, healthy drink like this?

Frozen Chai Smoothie:
2 oz. Monin Chai Tea Concentrate
4 oz. cold milk or milk substitute
2 cups of ice
Whipped Cream

Pour Monin Chai Concentrate and milk into blender, add ice and blend until smooth.
Pour into glass and top with whipped cream.

I enjoy these but I use soy milk instead and no whip cream. Its good for you and has an interesting spicy taste to it. It should come out white in the end which is interesting because the chai tea is black.

here are some other things to use:

1. Fruit as the 'base' - bananas, strawberries, pineapples, kiwis are good. Blueberries are OK, but the skin will be similar to pulp in orange juice so don't use them if you want it really smooth
2. A liquid to help things blend. Try milk, fruit juice (apple juice is nice because it wont overpower the other flavors) or just water .
3. A thickener. Something like yogurt, ice cream, frozen fruit, or ice cubes.

A good rule of thumb for measurements is 1 part fruit, 1 part liquid, and 2 parts thickener. So for a 1 cup smoothie, you would use 1/4 cup fruit, 1/4 cup liquid and 1/2 cup thickener.

If you use ice cubes, make sure you get a blender that can chop them, otherwise go with the yogurt to make a good consistency

I just bought a whole bunch of smoothie ingredients last week. This is what I use:

concentrated OJ
plain yogurt
milk
frozen fruits (blueberry, blackberry, mixed berries, mango, raspberry, etc)
bananas

I have a nice blender. That helps a lot. I like the frozen berries vs real berries because it makes the drink nice and cold without adding additional ice and the frozen berries are typically much less expensive.

I have a blender. I have not used the thing 1 time.

Today might be a good day for a coolata from Dunk'n Donuts.
Since it will not stop raining, I have to do something to pretend it's nice out.

Head down to the Foxy Lady Rob and find a nice young thing to cheer you up. :103631605 P.S. You'll probably run into Pat Patriot and Basehead - so , watch your wallet!

I tried the frozen oj last night with a melange of berries and some low-fat ice cream. WOW! The cat's meow. It is great - had one today with fruit punch and blueberries, awesome. Thanks!

My favourite fruit mix is Strawberries Bananas and Kiwis, mix it with some Ice, Milk and vanilla Yogurt.

My wife makes great ones and she uses frozen fruit.
If you are feeling adventurous try Apples, Beets and Carrots, it's a great mix.

Bro, I thought you were looking for something healthy? You've managed to pack two months worth of sugar into one drink.

Oops. No wonder they taste so good! I guess they're still better than Slurpies and Icies! Right?

No Capn. Sugar is sugar, and Ice Cream still has fat.

Try to use some splenda, and never use berries in sauce.
